The official 2013 winners of the Chili Cook Off held at Isador's Organics in Oxford. The Webster Dudley Business Alliance would like to thank all who entered and came by to taste & judge the 18 entries. It was a tough job, but 100 people were up to the task. $670 was raised and will benefit the Hand Fruit Program, bringing fresh organic fruits to local elementary schools in Webster, Dudley & Oxford. It's that time of year again!
The Webster Dudley Business Alliance will be holding their annual meeting & elections and you're invited! Attendees will have a chance to network, hear about the past year's accomplishments of our group and upcoming plans. Members will also vote in the 2013 Executive Board and Board of Directors.

Cost: $10/WDBA member, $15/non-member
The WDBA Executive Board consists of (4) Executive Officers and (3 plus 1 alternate) Board Directors. If you are interested in nominating yourself or another business associate for a Board position please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Officers up for election this year are President and Secretary (2 year terms) as well as 4 Board Director positions (1 year terms). All nominees must be WDBA members in good standing.
Responsibilities of the Board include attending monthly meetings and working to support the group's mission of promoting and assisting local business members through communication, networking, education and community involvement.
All local business owners and managers as well as local non-profit groups are invited to become regular WDBA members for an annual fee of $50.
The Webster Dudley Business Alliance is planning a Summer softball game & BBQ at the Memorial Athletic Field on Ray Street in Webster and you're invited! Feel free to bring family & friends.
Sunday, August 26 from 3-6 p.m.
Cost is $12 per person and includes grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, pickles, chips and watermelon provided by Mack's Catering.
If you have bats and gloves bring those to participate or just come cheer the teams on!

Recently the WDBA was awarded a $500 Shop Local grant to help create a "Support Your Local Businesses" Directory to be distributed at town halls, libraries, realtors, banks and other local businesses. An online version will also be posted on the WDBA website. Students at Bartlett High School will be assisting in the layout and design gaining real world experience using their new digital media lab, so this truly is a community project.
You are invited to participate by filling out the form below. Feel free to invite other local businesses you know who may be interested. There are several options including a FREE basic listing for WDBA members, display ad or coupon. You should also include any graphics or logos along with your information. Need a new logo? Let us know and the students will be happy to work with you and give you their creative ideas.
The directories will be distributed in early October, just in time for the holiday shopping season. In addition to businesses we will also include listings for local non-profit organizations.
Deadline to send in your information and payment is August 25.
